An update...where to begin...??

My guys are now back home in the UK and adjusting to life with a newborn. The nurse visitor came today and the baby is already weighing in a 9lb 2oz. She said he is "thriving".

Sebastian is growing as quick as he can and it breaks our heart. Can't he stay little for just a little while longer? He is so alert now. His eyes are so bright and Brett seems to think he'll be smiling any day now.

I can't wait till April when I get to visit!! ♥

Sebastian Alexander is here!

Matthew, Brett and I arrived as scheduled on the 30^th to begin our induction. After 13 hours of labor, Sebastian Alexander Griffin-Young was born. I cannot begin to explain the flood of emotions that overcame all of us that afternoon on the 3rd floor in that cozy hospital room.

For me, it was a sense of completeness and a definite feeling of being proud. After all we had gone though, here he was. All 7lb 10oz's of him. As he stared up at me with his big blue eyes, all I could think about was how many people loved him, wanted him and what a wonderful life he will have.

I think for Matthew and Brett it was simply overwhelming for many different reasons.

As I shared with them the other night, I feel as though for the rest of my life a small piece of my heart will always be wherever they are.

This is so much more than a "surrogacy contract".....this is what life is really about....and what a beautiful life it is...
